CLASS RULES:
General rules:
- Any area code can participate.
- $100 buy-in (in addition to track gate entry fee). Buy-in is payable in cash only at tech inspection.
- CLASS WILL PAY $2250 TO THE WINNER, $800 TO THE RUNNER-UP (GUARANTEED; no minimum car count). Purse will increase in relation to car count (If we get 16 or more cars in round one, we will add / guarantee semifinal finisher payout. If we get 33+ cars in round one, we’ll pay quarterfinal spots).
- The class is based on individual indexes, based on 2 qualifying runs on an 1/8-mile format. All vehicles must make at least one pass to set personal index, otherwise we will default to an 8.50 index for that competitor.
- Each competitor’s personal index will be set by subtracting .05-seconds from their quickest run in qualifying (example: if you run a 6.70 and a 6.75, your index for the event will be a 6.65).
- We will be using a 5-tenths pro-tree on a handicapped format.
- Deep Staging will be honored; drivers wanting to deep stage need to have “DEEP” on both side windows of the car/truck.

- The class will be random paired for first round eliminations, and go on a competition ladder for second round eliminations. The ladder would be based on round one winner’s reaction times (positive reaction times closest to .000 will be laddered #1, #2, etc. Any red lights go to the bottom of the ladder; the more negative the red light is, the further down it goes).
- Any lane choice questions (remaining competitors in one lane / waiting the same lane, etc.) will be determined by coin flip in round one, ladder position determines lane choice for remaining rounds (higher position gets lane choice).

Fanning Springs Christmas Car Show
Nov 14, 2020
Your GSR NOTICE of upcoming Event!
All are invited to our 3rd Toys For Tots car show December 5th at Fanning Springs Historical Park from 11am-3pm. Join us along the scenic Suwannee River where U.S. 19 crosses it in Fanning Springs. It’s open to all classic, custom, and special interest vehicles, registration is FREE. We’d appreciate a donation of new, unwrapped toys of all sorts or cash donations for the kids. 100% of it goes to Toys For Tots, not just the profits. Again this year Steve and Paula are donating everything to put on the show.
Be sure to bring your fastest valve covers to race and get your arm limbered up for corn hole tossing. Music, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and just after dark the Christmas boat parade. Win the 4’ tall Best Of Show trophy and decorate it for your tree.
We’re planning the day as normal as possible but please be respectful of others concerning the virus, thanks.
For more info call Steve Smyrski at 727-422-0787 or email Dana at itzaluks@outlook.com
Thanks so much if you’d help spread the word about our event. We’re getting a late start due to uncertainty about the virus, hopefully it will remain ok to have the show. We’re looking forward to seeing those who can make it and wish everyone at GSR a wonderful Holiday Season and 2021 has got to be better. Thanks again, Dana Sheffield

DAILY DRIVER, presented by Gainesville Towing Service
CLASS RULES:
General rules:
- Any area code / state can participate.
- $50 buy-in (in addition to track gate entry fee). Buy-in is payable in cash only at tech inspection.
- CLASS WILL PAY A MINIMUM $1000 TO THE WINNER (no minimum car count). Purses will go up as car count increases. Any race class that gets a minimum of eight cars, we will guarantee runner up payout. For any class with 16 or more cars, we will guarantee semifinal payout.
- Designed to be an entry level heads up class for all cars and trucks running slower than 11.49 in the 1/4-mile.
- The class will be an all-run field, based on minimum 1 qualifying run on an 1/4-mile format (only one NHRA tower person and driver will know their times; no 352 Shootout staff will know times. Driver will get half a time slip with only their information after each run). The minimum single pass will be run after the class returns from a 30-mile cruise. Vehicles MUST complete the run without breakage, being pushed or towed at ANY point before, during or after the run.
- A 30-mile cruise will be done starting at the track to verify the "street ability" of each vehicle. Vehicles must complete the cruise to be eligible to qualify for eliminations. Vehicles will go directly to staging lanes from the cruise, and you will get cool down time. No changing of tires / refueling / working on the cars is permitted after the cruise / before the qualifying pass. After qualifying pass, vehicles can return to their pit area.
- Any pass in eliminations faster than 11.50 will result in a disqualification for that competitor (will be determined by a single NHRA tower official). The 11.50 limit is being done to maintain a fair playing ground (352 Shootout staff will not have any knowledge of a vehicle’s time).
- Any entries that lose in competition may join the test and tune class to make additional rounds at no charge after 2nd round of eliminations is complete.
Vehicle rules:
- Cars / trucks with valid VIN. No motorcycles / purpose-built race cars.
- All entries require a current license tag, registration and insurance for exact vehicle being raced. No dealer tags / temporary tags / rental cars.
- All vehicles must have OEM steel (fiberglass/composite if OEM equipped) body shell. Only permitted lightweight components are hood, front / rear valance, front / rear bumpers / covers, rear trunk lid/hatch. Hood is required, may be made of lightweight material. Any hood scoops / rear wing permitted.
- Parking lights, head lights, brake lights, turn signals and horn required and must be functional.
- OEM safety glass on all windows. All door windows must be functional (roll up and down). Trucks may use Lexan / safety glass for rear window only when roll bar is installed.
- Any front / rear suspension allowed.
- Any engine / power adder with no weight restrictions.
- Exhaust can exit at any position; must have catalytic convertors or mufflers (except turbo entries).
- All drive axle(s) must use a drag radial or slick (no standard street tires on drive axle/axles).

OPEN COMP, presented by Bad Attitude Engines
CLASS RULES:
General rules:
- Any area code can participate.
- $50 buy-in (in addition to track gate entry fee). Buy-in is payable in cash only at tech inspection.
- CLASS WILL PAY A MINIMUM $1000 TO THE WINNER (no minimum car count). Purse will increase in relation to car count (if we get 8 cars, we will have a runner-up payout. If we get 16 cars, we will pay semifinal spots).
- The class is based on individual indexes, based on 2 qualifying runs on an 1/8-mile format.
- First round “potential” bye run will be determined by the best reaction time from the second qualifying run. If the potential bye run has to run a competitor, the potential bye will have lane choice. Bye runs DO NOT carry over.
- The class MAY be laddered for second round (based on between rounds time); ladder would be based on round one winner’s reaction times (positive reaction times closest to .000 will be laddered #1, #2, etc. Any red lights go to the bottom of the ladder; the more negative the red light is, the further down it goes). If we don’t ladder the class from round two onwards, it will be run by random pairing.
- Any lane choice questions (remaining competitors in one lane / waiting the same lane, etc.) will be determined by coin flip.
- Any entries that lose in competition may join the test and tune to make additional runs at no charge after 2nd round of eliminations is complete.
Vehicle rules:
- Cars / trucks / left steer roadsters okay. No motorcycles / dragsters / center-steer roadsters. All vehicles must be left-steer position.
- Any front / rear suspension allowed.
- All engines and power adders are permitted.
- Any exhaust set-up / exhaust exit is permitted.
- Any interior set-up is permitted.
- All drive axle(s) must use a drag radial or slick (no standard street tires on drive axle/axles).

- Transbrakes, 2-steps and electronic/air-shifters permitted.
- Delay boxes / cross-over boxes must be unplugged and removed from vehicle.
